GREEN MOBIL NV was a Belgian company (now liquidated), whose mission was to promote and commercialize Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands as an effective solution for reducing urban pollution and noise and mitigating climate change.
It was started-up in 2007 by Arnaud de Viron and Shamsunder Katara, two entrepreneurs based in Belgium concerned with the need for more sustainable urban transportation.
GREEN MOBIL was dedicated to the import and distribution of electric vehicles in Belgium, Luxemburg, and the Netherlands.
It has obtained exclusive distribution rights for
REVA electric cars in BENELUX,
but it lost its rightson September 25, 2009.
It was commercialising its vehicles through a growing network of dealers.
GREEN MOBILwas also aiming to create an assembly plant in Belgium for the
REVA cars sold on the European market.
This new activity would
have created hundreds of new jobs in a few years.
